For the next 2-3 Weeks
Keep your tattoo clean with a pump anti-bacterial soap use a clean paper towel to pat dry and follow with a white unscented lotion. For tattoos on the hands and feet wash your tattoo an extra 2-3 times a day out side of normal bathing/hand washing. For the first 4 days these areas are more prone to complications such as infections.
3
No Sun Exposure
Absolutely NO sun exposure or swimming for the next 2-3 weeks.
4
DO NOT pick or scratch at your tattoo
Your tattoo will heal much like a sunburn; you will have flaky itchy skin that will peel off and you may even experience a few scabs and some swelling and redness around the tattoo site. All of this is a normal part of the healing process. DO NOT pick or scratch at your tattoo and do not attempt to exfoliate any skin, just let it fall off naturally.
